Advice

Local Councillors' Surgery

Local councillors surgeries are now being held at Springbank Community Resource Centre on the second Thursday of every month from 6 to 8pm. The upcoming dates are 12th November and 10th December. If you have any issues you would like to raise with your local councillors or need advice on, please come along on one of these dates.

Life Coaching

Are you a single parent on benefits and want a chance at a brighter future if so come and talk to Mark Griffiths, Life Coach who is available at free weekly drop ins at Hesters Way Community Resource Centre on Tuesdays, 1 to 4pm and at Springbank Community Resource Centre on Fridays, 1 to 4pm. Mark will help you to overcome everyday problems to plan ahead for a job or help you into training. Mark also specialises in divorce aftermath, turning negatives into positives, setting goals for the future, building confidence, dealing with emotions and other issues. This service is aimed at single parents on benefits. Phone 07875945517 or just come along to one of the sessions.

Debt advice

Hesters Way Neighbourhood Project provides an expert debt advice and budget management service to local people. Anyone seeking debt advice or needing help to create and live within a budget are invited to contact HWNP on 01242 521319 or 01242 539088 to arrange an appointment. This is limited resource, but we will be able to signpost if we are unable to help.

Citizens Advice Service

Do you have children aged 0 to 5 years old. The family drop in organised by Hesters Way Children's Centre has a Citizens Advice representative who can give you free advice on housing, debt, welfare and benefits. It is held at Springbank Community Resource Centre every week in term time on Thursdays from 1.15 and 2.45 to 11.30am. No appointment is necessary.
